And again...from The Napa Valley to Charleston, South Carolina...
We are pleased to announce the arrival of our latest Artist Series Collaboration!
Our 2018 Artist Series wine, created by winemaker Jim Frost, showcases an outstanding Napa Valley vintage inside the bottle as well as the magnificent artwork of Charleston artist, Mary Ann Cope on the label.
Mary's impressionistic work, Winery Pup, captures Napa The Retriever, our newest crew member, "supervising" her first bottling day at the winery while trying to stay clear of all of the activity in the filtered shade near the tasting cottage. Pets remind us just how much joy our furry friends bring to our lives.
The 2018 Napa Valley Artist Series, our signature Bordeaux style blend, delivers both visually and on the palate as yet another bold and beautiful representation of great Napa fruit from both hillside and valley floor vineyards.
Swirl your glass, watching the intense garnet color cling to the crystal. Bold aromas of dark cherry, cigar box, coffee, and dark chocolate reach your nose as you breathe in the the Valley air. This full bodied and complex Napa Valley blend of five traditional Bordeaux varieties delivers layers of cherry, cigar box, crushed stone, and honeycomb with a hint of dark chocolate on the palate.
Toss that stick or ball for 30 minutes with your best friend before you open a bottle and settle in for the evening!
You can enjoy our 2018 Artist Series Cabernet blend now or cellar this wine for years of future enjoyment.

About the Artist
Mary Ann Cope is a representational impressionist with a passion for creating art that seeks to honor the connectedness of people, places and treasured objects. Mary is also a vintner, co-founding the AuburnJames Winery (Silverado Trail -- Napa Valley) in 2005 with her brother, Matt. To honor her passion for great wine, much of her travel and art focus on wine regions across the globe as well as figurative works highlighting the celebratory nature of people, food and wine. Her work graces the label of several vintages of AuburnJames’ award-winning Napa Valley Artist Series Red Blend.
Mary is intrigued by the play of light and shadow, specifically in low light environments. In her work, she strives to capture the subtle detail in reflective surfaces and in shadow to create intrigue and drama. Her work hangs in public and private collections in the US and in Europe. She is represented by Hagan Fine Art at 49 Archdale Street in Charleston, SC and is a member of the Oil Painters of America.
