Layer upon layer of complexity are brought forth while this deep purplish wine delivers the distinct berry profiles of the Calistoga hillside and the Yountville valley floor. Supple tannins are courtesy of whole berry fermentation that took place over a sixteen day period in late October 2010. Cascading Napa Valley flavors will continue to delight your palate over the coming years because of the complex structure and near perfect acid balance. Black cherry and blackberry greet you on the nose followed by raspberry and blueberry on the palate. Dark fruit is abundant throughout with hints of cassis on the finish. This wine is something very special! Bottled during the early summer of 2014, and although still relatively young, this silky smooth wine is drinking quite well today and expected to improve and soon find its way onto the list of AuburnJames' greats!
Our 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is ready now to be paired with grilled meats or it can be laid down in the cellar for another 4 to 5 years as it approaches its peak. Either way you choose, this wine is a simply delicious and you will be rewarded. Cheers!
