Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2009 Block 1&4 single vineyard designate is a combination of two outstanding blocks within the Bella Vista Vineyard in Calistoga.  This wine was awarded the Gold Medal at the 2012 California Cabernet Shootout and Platinum Medal from the 2013 Cabernet Shootout Challenge!

At the Challenge it was overwhelmingly chosen as the “favorite wine” by BOTH men and women voters from the 300+ wine lovers attending the public blind tasting at Treasure Island on January 19, 2013.  Enjoy its big fruit, supple tannins and perfect acid balance now or for many years to come...Cheers!

The 2009 Block #2 release is dedicated to the memory of Bob Hayes.  A great man, husband, father and owner of Bella Vista Vineyards in Calistoga, California.  God bless you Bob... Everyone here at AuburnJames will certainly miss you.

A complex wine that has a distinct berry profile. Blackberry, raspberry, blueberry with hints of blackcurrant (cassis). This wine is ready now with a great steak or can be laid down for another 5 years.
