Hailing from Kentucky, Dave learned an appreciation for single barrel bourbon before discovering the wonders of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. The influence of his wife Anna and living in Europe enlightened him to the world of fine wine and food pairing. Dave met Jim Frost at the local wine festival in 2005, tasted some of Jim’s limited release wines, and immediately joined the wine club. Soon after that he was helping both Jim and Matt on the crush pad where he has literally had his hands in every AuburnJames vintage since! Dave’s easy going style blends well with the AuburnJames brand. Currently the Tasting Room Host at 321 Hartz Ave. in Danville, Dave works side by side with Stacey after spending several years behind the tasting counter at Thomas Coyne on Blacksmith Square in Livermore.
